Chur, with approximately 35,000 inhabitants, is the largest city in the canton of Graubünden and with its 5,000 years settlement history the oldest city in Switzerland. Economically the region lives particularly from summer and winter tourism, but major international companies in the chemical, building and beverage industry are also based here.
Chur offers a diverse range of sport and leisure facilities, and has a broad range of educational services at all levels as well as numerous restaurants, museums, cultural institutions and first-class local leisure areas.
