Feldeggstrasse 5, Glattbrugg

Detailed description

The five-storey office building at Feldeggstrasse 5 already sends a clear message externally with its striking facade. On the inside the generous premises with their variable room design leave numerous options open for individual use.

Ground plan

The basic form of the building is rectangular. There are no supporting walls in the building interior; the supporting elements are the external walls and the ferroconcrete columns which are arranged in a square grid of 7.4 m. There are no other restrictive supports and walls. Thus the usable area behind the striking anthracite-grey granite façade, with reflective metal and glass elements, permits extremely flexible use.

Floors

The building consists of a basement, ground floor and four upper floors. The main entrance is on the ground floor. The upper floors and the basement, with storerooms and technical installations, are accessible via a main staircase with two passenger lifts. Additionally, it has an emergency staircase and two goods lifts, of which one serves all floors and the other all except the top floor. There is no underground parking, but outside the property there are numerous open air parking places.

Building services

The ventilation system is based on natural ventilation through the numerous windows which, can be opened individually. Rooms without windows, such as toilets, meeting rooms and restrooms, have conventional ventilation systems.
